Does Walmart.com accept FSA or HSA cards?

Walmart now accepts FSA and HSA cards

If you are looking to use your FSA or HSA card online or in-store on FSA-eligible product, you are in luck because as of February 2024, Walmart.com now accepts FSA or HSA cards online and in-store. This is listed in their FSA & HSA Shop FAQ. However, just because they do accept FSA or HSA cards online, does not mean that it isn’t easy to find eligible products online or in-store. FSA Guide will help you find eligible items online and in-store later in this article.

How to Find FSA and HSA Eligible Items at Walmart

Looking for ways to spot FSA and HSA eligible items? You can find FSA and HSA eligible items over on Walmart.com’s FSA Shop. They have a whole section of their website where you can find these items. You can also find these items in the Benefits Hub sections under the Pharmacy, Health & Wellness departments on their website. It is listed alongside their OTC Network Medicare and OTC Network Medicaid list of items on their website as well.

Since Walmart.com is a marketplace, it is fairly hard to distinguish what items are actually FSA eligible and will be able to be checked out with an FSA card, vs. items that may say they are eligible and are not. You should look for items that have the icon below in order to ensure that your benefits card will work when purchasing that item.

  1. I have a Humana Spending Account Debit/Visa Card. I have used the card before in store at Walmart with no problems. However, I cannot use it online. You have to add the card to your wallet. I have tried numerous times and keep getting Cannot add card because of technical difficulties. Why is that when Humana and Walmart websites say you can pay with Spending Account cards? Has Walmart decided all of a sudden not to accept spending account cards?

  2. I’m having the same issue. I always use my card online and I’m trying to use it right now … it will only use part of the funds. I don’t know what that’s all about. I’ve deleted and changed around and it keeps changing the amount that it’s due but it’s not using the whole amount that I have in the account. I’ve always used my card as soon as the funds are on it because my cat usually needs wet food or something… this is really frustrating! I have no way to get anywhere. I don’t have transportation. I don’t have anyone to depend on to take me anywhere. That’s why I have Walmart membership and Sam’s club so I can get delivery, but this is sucking big time!!

  3. I just received the Humana Lex flex card and I would like to use it at Walmart online if possible. I use my Instacart account online, so why can’t I add my flex card to Walmart when I am not able to drive there.
